Ship your car across the country and follow every step.

Trustline Carriers is a licensed auto transport broker. Trustline assigns your car to a carrier that has passed four checks, and your order page names the carrier company, the driver and the driver's phone before pickup. An email reaches you at every status change, and photos record the car at both ends.

  • The carrier and driver named before pickup
  • A realistic pickup window before you book
  • 2 inspections with photos, at pickup and delivery

Why Trustline

Hand over the keys knowing what happens next.

Four worries come up before almost every car shipment. Here is what Trustline does about each one, on every order.

You know who has your car

Once a carrier is assigned, your order page shows the carrier company, the driver's name and the driver's phone. The person driving your car is one call away.

See an example

No chasing for updates

An email goes out at every status change. Your order page holds the status, the photos, the paperwork and, while the driver's app is sharing, the truck on a map.

What you'll see

Dates you can plan around

A realistic pickup window before you book, built from how quickly carriers take loads on your lane. If the window moves, you hear about it the same day.

How pickup windows work

Proof of condition at both ends

The driver inspects the car with you at pickup and again at delivery, with photos and a signed bill of lading each time. If something is wrong, we help you put the claim together.

  • Each status, with its time

Booked, carrier assigned, picked up, on the road, delivered. Every step shows when it happened, and each one sends an email.

  • The people on your order

The carrier company, the driver and the driver's phone, and the name of your coordinator at Trustline.

  • Photos and paperwork in one place

Your photos, bill of lading and signed agreement, all saved on your order page.

  • The truck on a map

While the driver's app is sharing location, the page shows the truck's last known position and when it was recorded. When sharing stops, the page says so.

Before the truck arrives

You know who is coming before the truck pulls up.

We assign a carrier that passes the Trustline Standard and post its details to your order page as a Carrier Card. The driver calls the day before pickup and again when close, so the voice on the phone already has a name.

  • The carrier company and the driver's name
  • The driver's phone, to call or text directly
  • The pickup date the carrier commits to, and its delivery estimate

How it works

Four steps, from your price to your driveway.

  1. 1

    Get your price

Enter the route, the car and the first day it can go. Open and enclosed prices appear side by side, built from real carrier data on your lane, with a realistic pickup window.

  2. 2

    Book and sign online

Read the transport agreement, sign it and save a card. It takes about 5 minutes, and a coordinator takes the order from there.

  3. 3

    A checked carrier is assigned

A carrier that passes all four checks of the Trustline Standard takes your car. Its name and the driver's phone go on your order page, and an email tells you.

  4. 4

    Pickup to delivery

The driver inspects the car with you at both ends. Photos, the bill of lading and every status change land on your order page.

Open or enclosed

Two ways to move a car, both priced on your screen.

You choose after you see the price. Most cars go open. Some should not.

Two-level open carrier loaded with cars and a pickup on the interstate

Open carrier

Most cars

The two-level trailer you pass on the interstate. It carries cars on two levels, each strapped down by the wheels and riding in the open air, as it would on the highway.

  • Costs less, and more trucks on every lane mean a sooner pickup
  • Right for daily drivers, SUVs, pickups and most used cars
  • Arrives with road dust that one wash takes off
White Porsche 911 GT3 at delivery, fog on the hills behind

Enclosed carrier

Classic, luxury, low

A covered trailer that carries fewer cars and loads them by lift gate or low ramps. Weather, road grit and passing eyes stay outside.

  • The usual choice for classics, exotics and cars that sit low
  • Fewer trucks, so assigning a carrier can take a day or two longer
  • Costs more, and the price screen shows both side by side

Trustline was great! They found me somebody to haul my grandfathers after my first carrier canceled on me three times. On a holiday weekend they were able to get me somebody scheduled for the next week. Edgar was AMAZING. Took such great care of my grandfathers car. Both Edgar and Trustline were great with communications and awesome to work with. Will use them again and recommend them to anybody who is looking to move a vehicle!

1970 VW Bus Move - Savannah to Dallas

I worked with charlie to move my daughters 1970 Westfalia VW Bus from College back home. It took us two times to get it coordinated, but he was easy to work with. The bus was delivered two days early - but the carrier made sure we were happy with the delivery before we paid them. Thank you Charlie

Questions

What people ask before they book.

The full list is in the help center. Or call, and a coordinator answers.

How do I know where my car is?

On your order page and in your inbox. The page shows each status change with its time, the carrier and driver, the inspection photos, and the truck's last position while the driver's app is sharing. An email goes out at every change.

Who actually moves the car?

An independent, FMCSA-licensed carrier that passed all four checks of the Trustline Standard. Trustline Carriers is the licensed broker (MC 1661496). We arrange the move and stay on the order with you, and the carrier's cargo insurance covers the car while it is on the truck.

How is the price set?

From what carriers were paid on your lane in the last 90 days to move a vehicle like yours. When a lane has too little recent data for one figure, the price screen shows a range and says so.

What if the car arrives damaged?

Write the damage on the bill of lading before the driver leaves, then call us. Damage not noted at delivery cannot be claimed later. The written claim goes to the carrier and its insurer within 15 days of delivery, and we help you put it together with the pickup photos and the bill of lading.

How long does it take?

About 400 to 500 miles a day once the car is on the truck, so coast to coast usually means 6 to 9 days in transit. Before that, a carrier on your lane needs space, and the price screen shows a realistic pickup window before you book.

Open or enclosed?

Open suits most cars and costs less. Enclosed keeps out weather and road grit, and is the usual choice for classic, luxury and low cars. The price screen shows both.

Where do you ship?

To and from all 50 states. Cars in the lower 48 go door to door and are priced on screen. Motorcycles, RVs, boats, and moves to or from Hawaii and Alaska are priced by a coordinator.

When is my card charged?

Nothing is charged when you book. The Reservation is charged to your card after a carrier is assigned, and the COD to Carrier is paid to the driver at delivery. The split for your car is on your price screen and in the agreement.

See your price. Then decide.

Enter the route, the car and the first day it can go. In about a minute you see your price, open and enclosed, with a realistic pickup window.
